GIVING BRUSHES TO THE CHILDREN SO THEY CAN PAINT A NEW WORLD.

One year ago, the Art in All of Us non-for-profit organization accommodated the Painting With Happiness program: an itinerant workshop of free expression painting, in order to allow the children from all over the planet to create and to communicate without any other references than their own culture, without any other compost than their own individuality; the children are also invited to participate to an interview through which they can share their glance on the world of today and tomorrow.

 

Today, precisely, we are pleased to share with you the sponsoring of the program by  French singer  ROBINSON: a most talented artist who devotes himself to the wellness of every age ears through rich musics and texts that make sense.

As you may know, I write and sing songs. Songs have something very singular: they borrow all the musical paths without limiting themselves to a specific kind. All the musical colors are possible, desirable as I would even say.

 

To create a song, you do not need to be an erudite, or to control the rules and laws of the harmony. As a matter of fact, I personally don't know the musical theory. To create a song, it's rather necessary to cultivate one's  inner small music, which is fragile but singular, simple but authentic.

 

It seems to me that the PAINTING WITH HAPPINESS program goes hand in hand with this approach: offering the children to listen to their inner small music, so as to let it be expressed with complete freedom. Playing with the trace and colors is undoubtedly the most universal way of expression and all the children who will face the white sheets and use the brushes will be able to understand each other and share the essence.

 

Writing these few words reminds me of an old song of my own …"I'd like to change the colors of time, to change the colors of the world."
